Short Biography
Aladin Niazmand is a Director of Health Projects International (or HPI), a Sydney based specialist firm of Architects and Health Planners with over 25 years of experience in Hospital Design. Aladin is also the Director of TAHPI which operates internationally from 10 offices from New Zealand to Dubai with over 250 staff.
Aladin has personally designed over 100 hospital projects in a wide range of disciplines, both public and private. He has had a large influence and input into the creation of the new generation of Health Facility Guidelines in Australia, initially through his work on the new Victorian Design Guidelines for Hospitals and Day Procedure Centres and later, the Standard Design Components for the new Australasian Health Facility Guidelines.
Aladin is the development team leader for the web based platform known as the ‘Health Facility Briefing System’ (HFBS) widely used by Health Design Professionals in Australia and around the world for the rapid creation of Standards-Based Health Facility Briefs, Room Data Sheets, Schedules, Costing, Asset Audits and Asset Tracking. Aladin now spends a great deal of his time coordinating and customising various Health Design Guidelines as well as the HFBS platform for different regions of the world.
Aladin has been a speaker at numerous health conferences in Australia and other Countries and gives Master Classes in Health Planning. He remains a hand-on professional and is currently responsible for the design of 5 hospital projects in 4 Countries.
