Jasmine Begum

Jasmine Begum, Director of Corporate Affairs for Malaysia and New Markets is based in Kuala Lumpur and takes care of citizenship and policy engagement for Microsoft businesses in Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Brunei.

Jasmine has broad educational qualifications having completed a double law degree at the International Islamic University in Kuala Lumpur covering both Common and Islamic law. Jasmine then pursued post-graduate studies in the United Kingdom obtaining a Master of Law Degree in Intellectual Property at the University of Reading, followed by a Master of Arts in Developmental Communications at Aston University in Birmingham.

From a professional perspective Jasmine has had a great range of experiences to equip her with the challenges and opportunities presented by public policy work in our region. Jasmine initially worked in law firms whilst completing her various studies before taking on corporate roles.

Jasmine then moved to work for the United Nations in various capacities and most recently, she was the Head of Corporate Communications at Dell in Malaysia.
