Prof Patricia Davidson
Professor Davidson is the Director of the Centre for Cardiovascular and Chronic Care at Curtin University. Professor Davidson is a cardiovascular nurse and her clinical and research specialty focuses on chronic cardiovascular conditions and chronic disease management. Her research focuses on developing processes of care to improve the outcomes of individuals with chronic conditions. Examples of current research projects include: palliative care and symptom management; women and cardiovascular disease; and nurse – coordinated models of care.
Dr Davidson is the Council General of the International Council on Women’s Health Issues and Secretary of the International Network for Doctoral Education in Nursing. She is Chair of the Cardiovascular Nursing College of the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand and President of the Australasian Cardiovascular Nurses College. She plays an active role in cardiovascular health care policy in Australia.
