She is the first Malaysian to obtain DAME award and the first Nurse who was elected to be Board Member of Commonwealth Federation –Pacific regions. She is now an International Speaker who had been invited to speak at Botswana, Durban South Africa, New Delhi, Hyderabad, Washington DC , Hong Kong, Taiwan, Bangkok, Jakarta , New Zealand, Adelaide, and at national level. Managed to get the International Nurses day, be gazette by the Government in 2009.

She started her career as a Temporary Secondary School Teacher, but chose to be a NURSE, for the last 35years.
She was trained as SRN and State Certified Midwife in Penang. Her post basic course was the CSSD & Ward Management .Obtained Active Member Award from International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management U.S.A.She had attended the World Symposium on CSSD She obtained the Advanced Nursing Administration Diploma and Bachelor of Nursing Sciences (Hon.) both from the Faculty of Medicine University of Malaya.

She was promoted to a Matron in 2001. She was awarded Excellent Award 3times- the first time in 1993 and secondly she was awarded Excellent Award MOH in 2005 and 2009. She was awarded Outstanding Nurse Researcher by MOH and Excellent service award by Royal Rotary Club KL. She also obtained MNA Scholarships to study at UM She was awarded scholarships to study abroad by ADB/ WHO – 1993.She was offered a place unconditional to study Nursing Management at Royal College Of Nursing- UK. She had been requested to be the Master of the Ceremony for National and International levels. She was the Winner of the Best Impromptu Speaker at the Public Speaking Academy She had Management Course organized by WHO Consultant in Adelaide, Australia in 2006. Studied Human resource management, in London. She had written 4 books. She was the Deputy President of Malaysian Nurses Association, for 3 years..She is the Committee member of Malaysian Nursing Foundation. She had been awarded by the DYMM the Raja of Perlis – PJK and AMN awarded by DYMM Yang DiPertuan Agong .She is qualified,NLP and Color Vibration Therapy Practioner. She is a member for Nursing Board Malaysia; Wedding Ceremony MC was the latest discovery.
