Steve has over 13 years experience within the tax consulting group and has undertaken high value tax and business consulting projects for clients in various industries including manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, logistics, healthcare, trading, construction and property development as well as education.

Highlights

• Lead tax engagement director on a number of listed companies in Bursa Malaysia and foreign multinationals, involving tax compliance and advisory work as well as dealings with tax authorities.
• Leveraging on the firm’s good relationships with the relevant government authorities, Steve has assisted foreign multinationals in designing and securing incentives packages for their investments in Malaysia. He worked together with the investor to develop a Malaysian investment structure to achieve overall tax efficiency for the Malaysian investment as well as maximising after tax returns to the shareholders.
• He has worked on various restructuring of operations, regulatory and tax incentive applications and structuring, cross border transactions, tax efficient structuring for privatization projects, corporate structure review to improve international tax efficiencies.
• Steve is a Tax subject matter expert who frequently conducts talks on company tax issues, leads various external tax workshops, client presentations as well as tax courses leading to professional examinations. He was also an appointed examiner for the Chartered Tax Institute of Malaysia (CTIM)
• Lead tax engagement director on a number of listed companies in Bursa Malaysia and foreign multinationals, involving tax compliance and advisory work as well as dealings with tax authorities.
• He is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), United Kingdom.
