Wong Bee Lee

Director of Nursing
Prince Court Medical Centre, Kuala Lumpur Malaysia

Bee Lee is currently the Director of Nursing in Prince Court Medical Centre, a new 300 bed specialist medical centre located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia which officially commenced services in October 2007.

Bee Lee has more than 20 years experience working in large teaching hospitals in Australia accredited with the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS) which is Australia’s National Healthcare Accreditation Body. She has particular interests in Quality Systems and Clinical Risk Management. She drives with passion in Patient Safety, Risk Management and Performance Improvement with her nurses at operational level and together with the senior management at strategic level. She has been a Nurse Leader in assisting hospitals in achieving the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS) in Australia and recently taking Prince Court Medical Centre through the Joint Commission International (JCI) Accreditation and Malaysian Society for Quality in Health (MSQH) Accreditation.

Her previous roles include; Clinical Director, Neonatal Services of Mercy Hospital for Women in Melbourne Australia, Neonatal Clinical Nurse Consultant of South Western Sydney Area Health Service, Sydney, Australia, Nurse Unit Manager, Neonatal Services of Monash Medical Centre, Melbourne Australia, Honary Lecturer at the South Western Sydney University and Neonatal Clinical Nurse Consultant at Wentworth Area Health Service, Sydney, Australia and Nurse Unit Manager and Nurse Administrator at the Royal Women Hospital in Melbourne, Australia.

Her academic qualifications include a Masters Degree in Nursing (Administration) from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology University, Australia, a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from the University of Melbourne, Australia and a Graduate Diploma in Adult Education and a Graduate Certificate in Health Education. She also has post basic qualifications in neonatal nursing and midwifery.
